What you�ll learn: The course introduces you to the wide range of roles in health and social care, and the key values and skills needed to succeed, such as person-centred care and effective communication. You�ll work towards the Level 1 Gateway Award in Health and Care, covering two key modules: � Principles and Values in Health and Social Care: Learn the core values of care, such as respect, dignity, and confidentiality, and why they are essential in supporting individuals. � Service Provision and Roles within Health and Social Care: Explore the different types of care services and job roles, and understand the skills needed to work in the sector. Who is it for? - This course is ideal for anyone new to the sector, especially if you're looking to build confidence, gain basic knowledge, and explore future career options. Course details: � Location: City College Norwich, Ipswich Road campus � Introduction Session: Monday 4th August, 10am � 1pm � Course Dates: Every Monday and Tuesday, 9:30am � 4pm � Duration: From 5th August to 9th September (excludes Monday 25th August 2025)
What you need to get on
- This course is open to learners aged 19 and over. - You do not need any previous qualifications, learning, or experience to join. - However, because of the reading and writing involved in both the learning and assessment, you will need to show basic literacy skills.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
