The course leads to the A level of the AQA Examination Board and involves a wide range of topics. Paper 1 – Topics for Listening Reading and Writing (a) Aspects of German-speaking society: current trends - the changing nature of Family; the digital world; youth culture: fashion, trends, music and TV (b) Multiculturalism in German-speaking society: Immigration, integration, racism (c) Artistic Culture in the German-speaking world: festivals and traditions, art and architecture (d) Cultural life in Berlin, past and present (e) Aspects of Political Life in the German- speaking world: German and the European Union, politics and youth, German reunification and its consequences Paper 2 – Writing One text and one film or two texts from the specification list. Paper 3 - Oral Based on an individual research project on one of the four sub-themes on paper 1.
