What the college says

A Level Geography expands your knowledge and understanding of the world around you, exploring topics such as globalisation, tectonic hazards and processes, and an examination of how coastal areas could be sustainably managed particularly with the challenges of climate change and rising sea levels. You will also undertake a residential fieldwork trip designed to provide you with the skills to complete your coursework. Linking with physical geography, you will study how superpowers have changed over time and how health, human rights and intervention are explored. You will also gain an understanding of the water and carbon cycles and the links to water conflicts and energy security.

What you need to get on

You will need to meet the minimum entry criteria, plus: Grade 6 in one of these: History, Geography, Humanities, English Literature, Business, Media Studies, Religious Studies, Drama, or Film Studies.
