Geography encourages students to understand their own lives in an increasingly globalised world and to understand vital, complex and inter-related issues such as global systems and governance,natural hazards and their impact on people and changing places. Topics will include water and carbon cycles, hazards, coastal systems and landscapes, global systems and global governance, changing places and contemporary urban environments.

What you need to get on

Five GCSEs grade 9-4 and a satisfactory school reference.Including English Language at grade 5, maths at grade 5, Core and Additional Science at grade 4 and Geography, if taken, at grade 5 as a minimum.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
