What the college says
This course is designed to excite your minds, challenge perceptions and stimulate your investigative and analytical skills. The units all reflect the world today and include hazards, changing places and global systems and governance. There are a variety of fieldwork opportunities in both Y12 and Y13 to enhance your understanding. Throughout this course you will develop a wide range of skills that are transferable to many other A Level subjects, university degrees and careers. Geography is a broad based academic subject which is well respected by employers and geography graduates have one of the highest rates of graduate employment.
What you need to get on
5 or above in GCSE Geography is preferable but not essential.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
