Then geography is for you. What is the course about? Geography is a qualification that enables students to engage critically with real world issues and places, apply their own geographical knowledge, understanding and skills to make sense of the world around them. Topics in this course include: Tectonic processes and hazards; Landscape systems; Processes and change. The water cycle and water insecurity, The carbon cycle and energy security. Climate change futures. Globalisation, superpowers. Shaping places, global development and connections. There is also an independent investigation where the student defines a question or issue for investigation, relating to the specification content, and collect their own fieldwork data as part of the following route to enquiry.
