This course is designed to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for progression to an A Level and single Applied General qualification study programme in the Humanities and Social Science curriculum. Students will study GCSE Sociology, with themes including: The sociology of families, education and social stratification Crime and deviance Areas of social theory and methodology Alongside this you will carry out an independent dissertation style project in an area of your choice, which you will research, write and present
