This course is for anyone wishing to gain a grade 4 (equivalent to a grade C) or above in their GCSE Mathematics. Linear exam papers (covering calculator and non calculator) at foundation level will be taken at the end of the course (May/June). GCSE Maths is a requirement for many FE and HE courses and can open up so many more opportunities for you in your career. The course covers topics in: Handling Data - averages, different types of graphs, questionnaires and surveys Number – percentages, ratio, decimals and fractions Algebra – simplifying algebraic expressions and solving equations Shape and space – angles, area, volume The exam consists of two papers, one non - calculator paper and one calculator paper. The GCSE Maths course involves 30 weeks of intense study covering topics on Handling Data, Number, Algebra and Shape and Space. Day: Wednesday OR Thursday evening, 5.30pm - 8.30pm. There are two groups - you will be in the Wednesday or Thursday group.
