This course will be of relevance to anyone who is interested in: reading, writing, analysing and creating. There are opportunities to look at a range of Media content, from Magazines to Computer Games. When looking at this content, students will be required to understand and explain how they reflect the world that we live in – as well as how they may influence their audiences. Alongside this, students will be able to choose from a set number of briefs to create their own productions, using some of the industry standard technology we have in the department. These Media products will have a clear genre, audience, and purpose, allowing the students to work in a style, and environment, similar to the real world of Media production.

What you need to get on

All A level courses or TWO A levels and ONE vocational course: Students must achieve a min of 5 subjects at GCSE grades 4 or above (including English Language and Maths) PLUS the relevant subject specific entry requirements. For a programme of 2 vocational courses and one A level: we would accept ONE KS4 level 2 Merit in place of a GCSE For a programme of 3 vocational courses only: we would accept TWO KS4 level 2 Merits in place of 2 GCSEs, full entry requirements can be found in our prospectus.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
