Physics underpins our whole lives, from the structure of the atom to the expansion of the Universe. The laws of Physics govern every interaction you have: the connection between your phone and the internet to the forces you experience on a day to day basis, whether riding a bus or playing sports. Physics has the answer to everything. Studying Physics at A level leads naturally into studying any of the various Engineering courses at university (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), or further study of Particle Physics, Astrophysics or Nuclear Fusion.

What you need to get on

A minimum Attainment 8 score of 60. A grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Maths. A grade 6 in the subject you wish to study (or two grade 6s if you wish to study a science and took Combined Science at GCSE). How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
