What the college says

Awarding Body : OCR Students will study eight texts, ranging from poetry and prose to drama. The unit is assessed with two closed texts exams. They will complete a series of different activities in response to these texts, which will include: reading and preparation of sections of the texts, research tasks and group presentations, class discussions and essays written both at home and in timed conditions in class. Students will also complete a coursework folder based on Literature post-1900. Students will complete two tasks for this folder, including a close reading of a text and a comparative essay.

General Requirements : 6 grade 5-9 GCSE passes including 5 or higher English Lang AND Maths Additional or Specific Requirements : Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Literature
