What the college says
Within A-level Photography students will explore a wide mix of traditional skills, techniques as well as Photoshop and how to use DSLR cameras. The course includes working in the studio; creating moving images; digital imaging and darkroom methods. Students will research art history to inspire their work from wide ranging sources and be able to communicate ideas through sketching with cameras and presenting them in both journal and online formats. Through encouraging group work students are better prepared for Higher Education within the visual arts.
What you need to get on
A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade 5 and above is preferable.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
