What the college says
A level art and design students have the opportunity to develop and express their creativity and ideas. Students will explore the work of artists, designers and craftspeople to inform their work. They will develop ideas through experimentation, problem solving and evaluating work. The course enables students to use a broad range medias and techniques including textiles, fine art, print making and 3D design. Students will create a portfolio of work which can then access an art foundation course or art and design degree related courses.
What you need to get on
Entry requirements: A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade 5 and above, preferably including Art.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
