2 Year course. This qualification takes its starting point as ‘creating music through technology’. It is not a dedicated sound engineering course, rather, it develops students’ musical aptitudes and skills through the medium of music technology. In addition to developing composition, performance and listening skills, students will learn all aspects of digital sequencing, studio practice and sound engineering.

What you need to get on

Five 6 - 9 grades at GCSE and a 5 in Eng and Maths. Grade 5 in Music GCSE or Merit and above at Level 2 Music BTEC OR Successful suitability test.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
