2 Year A-Level course. Skills gained from taking this course: Practical production skills from mock-ups and storyboarding, to use of DTP programmes, Adobe Photopshop and Final Cut Pro. Digital technology-Camera’s, sound recorders, video cameras. Analytical skills. Research and independent study. Work as a team member on production work. To succeed in this subject you need to have good ICT skills and a genuine interest in the media. We find that students who have studied Art & Design or Design & Technology bring their creativity to the practical production work. You will need to be prepared to work independently, in your own time, on research and production work.

What you need to get on

Five 6 to 9 grades at GCSE and a 5 in Maths. Grade 6 in English Language GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
