What the college says

Students will study a film and a piece of Spanish literature in depth. Students will complete an Independent Research Project in Spanish, forming the basis for a discussion in the speaking exam. Topics covered in year 1 are: Aspects of Spanishspeaking society and artistic culture in the Spanish-speaking world. In year 2 the topics are: Multiculturalism in Spanish-speaking society and aspects of political life in the Spanish-speaking world.

What you need to get on

Grade 9-5 (A*-C) in five GCSEs including English and Mathematics. Plus, a minimum Grade 6 in GCSE Spanish.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
