Studying a Modern Foreign Language at A-Level demands a high level of commitment which is in turn rewarded by an increasing level of competence in your listening, reading, speaking & writing skills.

What you need to get on

Minimum 34 points. It is expected that the language[s] studied at GCSE will be the language[s] continued post-16. A minimum of Grade 5 must have been achieved at GCSE (higher tier entry preferred). Special consideration is given to native speakers.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
