Our aim is to develop our new A-level Spanish students into curious, advanced level linguists; proactive, fluent and confident communicators; and inquisitive global citizens who actively keep up with current affairs. Students are exposed to a diverse range of topics related to society and culture in Spain and the Spanish-speaking world, and they will of course also learn the complex vocabulary and grammar that will allow them to fully access and appreciate the ideas and cultures they encounter. We will introduce brand new skills required for A-level, such as summary skills, and analytical and evaluative essay writing. By the end of the course, students will have the requisite linguistic skills and cultural knowledge not only to achieve their potential in their A-levels, but also to continue their language studies in Higher Education if they wish to, and to capitalise on their valuable expertise in order to travel or work successfully in a Spanish-speaking country.

Average 5 Grade 6s at GCSE including English and Maths including Grade 6 in Spanish

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
