What is Spanish? Studying Spanish at A level is not just about the qualification you achieve, but the vocational skill you develop along the way. Learning another language is challenging, but always fun, exciting and extremely interesting. Why study it? It is a myth to believe that the whole world speaks English. More and more job advertisements state that knowledge of at least one European language would be an advantage, and many jobs will involve working with European companies and travelling abroad. A command of Spanish will open doors for you in careers as diverse as law and IT.

What you need to get on

You will need to achieve five or more “4” grades, including Grade 6 in Spanish

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
