This course is for anyone moving on from GCSE with an interest in sport and physical education. You might be choosing it because you are headed for a career in the sports industry, though it will equip you with transferable skills such as teamwork, resilience and leadership that can be used in a wide range of careers. You will need enthusiasm and a commitment to training and performing regularly in a chosen sport. A Level PE combines well with subjects including physics, chemistry, biology and psychology.

What you need to get on

Sixth Form Entry Requirements: Grade 6 or better in Mathematics and English, together with a further 4 GCSE subjects at Grade 6 or better. Subject Specific Entry Requirements: Grade 7 in Physical Education at GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
