What the college says

The course is divided into three components; Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Thought. In Philosophy you will study questions such as ‘how do we know what we know?’, ‘is there a God?’ and ‘do we have a soul?’. Ethics will challenge your thoughts on how you determine what is right and wrong. Religious Thought raises issues such as free will and what happens when we die. It is a subject that will change the way you think.

What you need to get on

GCSE English grade 5 or above. At least 4 other GCSE’s grade 9-4, including grade 6 in GCSE Religious Studies.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
