What the college says
Students develop skills in the three distinct but related disciplines of performing, composing and appraising, whilst having flexibility to specialise in either performing or composing. Students may choose to apportion 10% of their assessment to either performing or composing as an in-depth study. Students will engage with both Classical and Popular music and will explore the musical language and techniques within these areas.
What you need to get on
GCSE Music at grade 5 or above. If GCSE Music hasn't been taken, grade 5or above in theory and practical music exams.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
