The course aims to develop your understanding and knowledge of the mass media. This includes areas such as advertising, publishing and film along with newer web-based media. You will be given the opportunity to create real media productions, such as the trailer for a new film or pages from a magazine. This will combine with a study of media production and media theory. What you need to get on
Grade 5 in both GCSE English Literature and GCSE English language and in GCSE Media if taken.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
