Students will study Anglo-Saxon England and the Norman Conquest, Civil Rights in the USA, and The French Revolution over the duration of the course. Students will develop their knowledge, critical thinking and understanding of the political, economic and social issues during these times. Students will develop a heightened awareness of the importance of historical awareness in explaining contemporary issues. The coursework element provides students with an opportunity to trace various themes and issues over a period of one hundred years, using and evaluating a range of sources.

What you need to get on

Grade 9-5 (A*-C) in 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics. Plus, a minimum grade 6 in GCSE English Language or English Literature.Preferable to have studies History at GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
