What the college says
Historical events are what have shaped society worldwide into what it is today. The History course has been designed to help you understand the value and significance of world events in the past. In the process you’ll gain a deeper understanding of social, cultural, religious and ethnic diversity. Knowing how people lived in the past helps us understand why people act the way they do today. Alongside the history you will gain an insight into politics, economics and sociology as well as developing research and analysis skills.
What you need to get on
5 GCSE at grade 4+ including GCSE English and History grade 5+.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
