You will follow the AQA specifications and all your language skills will be developed while studying a variety of aspects of contemporary culture and society in the German-Speaking countries. You will also study a German language book and film.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 passes (grade 4 or above) at GCSE, including in both English and Maths (not including Level 2 vocational qualifications). Plus a grade 5 in German GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
