What the college says
This course aims to develop an interest in and enthusiasm for geology by developing knowledge and understanding of different areas of geology and how they relate to each other. In turn students will appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society. Students will also develop and demonstrate a deeper appreciation of geodiversity, the finite nature of the Earth’s resources and the need for geoconservation.
What you need to get on
Average GCSE grade 4.5. Grade 4 in English Language, Grade 4 in English Literature and Grade 5 in Mathematics. Combined Science 5,5 and Math's preferred Grade 5
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
