Physical and Human Geography including the study of core geographical concepts along with contrasting theme of contemporary or environmental impact, management and sustainability. Geographers study the interaction between people and the places they inhabit, exploring the relationship between human populations and physical landscape. As such it is a relevant and flexible subject which integrates well with a variety of other subject areas and can be combined with Science or art subjects. The course is designed to address key ideas and debates in the world today, such as climate change, globalisation, urban regeneration and management of the world's resources. It also aims to provide a knowledge and understanding of physical processes and human behaviour. It allows students to develop their own values, attitudes and opinions and provides opportunities to develop team work and fieldwork skills.

What you need to get on

A grade 5 in both English Language and maths, and Grade 5 in a Science.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
