What the college says

There has never been a better or more important time to study geography. You will develop and apply your understanding of geographical concepts, interpreting our changing world; develop your awareness of the complexity of interactions within and between societies, economies, cultures and environments at scales from local to global; be able to recognise the challenges of sustainability and the implications for your own and others' lives; develop critical and reflective thinking and appreciate the importance of attitudes and values in decision making; become confident in the use and application of skills and new technologies through your geographical studies both in and outside the classroom. Core physical themes are water/carbon cycles and landscape systems. The Core human themes are global systems/ global governance and changing place/ changing places. There will be a minimum of two fieldwork days in year 12 and four days overall for A level.
