What the college says
Further Maths is ideal for students with a strong interest in mathematical thinking and a desire to explore it beyond A-Level. If you choose to study Further Maths, you must also study A-Level Maths. The Maths and Further Maths courses are taught in separate classes, giving you the equivalent of two full subjects’ worth of teaching time. Further Mathematics extends the Pure Maths content from A-Level Maths and introduces new topics such as matrices and complex numbers.
