If you are planning to study A Level maths and would like to broaden and deepen your mathematical knowledge and skills, then taking Further Maths alongside A Level Maths may be for you. Further Maths is a facilitating subject which means it will also prepare you for a wide range of higher education subjects. Some universities may require Further Maths for entry to maths degree courses. It will give you a range of transferable skills including logical reasoning and problem solving that are useful in a range of careers.

What you need to get on

Entry criteria for A level Further Mathematics course : Grade 8 or above in Mathematics at GCSE. -A minimum of a grade 5 in English and Maths. -Five GCSEs at a minimum of a grade 6 Students must be taking at least 7 GCSEs

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
