A Level Further Mathematics is a challenging, prestigious qualification designed for students with a genuine passion for the subject. Further Mathematics is taken alongside standard A Level Mathematics, and is used it to highlight advanced problem-solving, abstract concepts, and excellent preparation for top university STEM degrees. Further Mathematics is a prerequisite for some subjects at some of the more prestigious universities and support is available for the most able mathematicians to sit the Advanced Extension Award in Mathematics and/or Step Papers as part of their offers for universities. Further mathematics can lead onto many careers and university pathways such as: • Accountancy • Engineering • Police • Economics • Biochemistry • Medicine • Teaching • Quantity Surveying • Business Management

What you need to get on

• Students must achieve a minimum of 6 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above • Grade 7 or above in Mathematics and English Language Grade 6
