Studying A level Further Mathematics is likely to improve your grade in A level Mathematics. The extra time, additional practice, further consolidation and development of techniques contribute to improved results in A level Mathematics. Studying Further Mathematics is also essential if you want to study Mathematics or Engineering at university. It is also really useful if you intend to study a scientific engineering degree. (e.g. Chemical Engineering). You cannot study Further Mathematics without studying Mathematics also.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 GCSE's, grades 4 - 9 (A* - C) including at least a Grade 7 in Mathematics (although Grace 8 or above is highly recommended).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
