This course allows students to develop a deeper understanding of a range of literature within a shared context, giving logic and meaning to the way that texts are grouped for study. Students are encouraged to study a range of wider reading around the topic of war in Year 12 and love in Year 13, thus extending students’ experience and appreciation of literature. Students undertake independent research within a particular area of literature they are interested in and this enables them to build skills such as the ability to read critically, analyse and evaluate
