For those who have studied Drama at GCSE, the course structure at A-Level is very similar. This A Level has the best of both worlds, covering both the practical elements and theory in the form of a written exam. Students should have a passion for theatre in the following areas; performing, designing, directing and as audience members. Throughout this two-year course, you will improve your performance skills, learn about the various styles, techniques and features involved in theatre practice, study set texts, develop your creative and collaborative skills and develop employability skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication etc.

Grade 5 or above in English Literature or Language Grade 5 or above in Drama if taken

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
