If you have previous interest in any aspect of the Performing Arts, then this is the course for you. You need to be curious about issues and ideas and have a creative instinct for communicating your views through Drama. You may be keen on acting, writing or on the visual and technical side of theatre and wish to develop your skills in some or all of these areas. Equally you will be interested in going to the theatre to see plays performed by different theatre companies. You will thrive in a creative environment, where you spend lessons exploring plays and concepts in a practical way. You will be taught by highly qualified members of staff who are actively involved in creating theatre and performance locally, bringing this wealth of contemporary experience into the classroom.

What you need to get on

GCSE Drama – Level 6 or Above BTEC Performing Arts – Distinction or Above as well as 4 additional grade 5's including English and Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
