This course is for anyone with a keen interest in acting, directing and performing. It would suit you if you enjoy watching live drama and have a passion to create theatre yourself. You may be choosing this course because you're interested in working in the theatre or aiming to study drama or performing arts at university, though it will provide you with a range of transferable skills including creativity, communication and teamwork that can be used in a variety of careers.

What you need to get on

A minimum of five GCSE grades 9 – 4 (or equivalent) to include at least a grade 4 in GCSE English Language or Literature and Mathematics. GCSE grade 5 in Drama.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
