What the college says

The Fashion industry isn’t just being able to design a pretty dress for someone to wear. Fashion is a highly diverse art form that encompasses clothing, media, culture and many other areas. This course will teach you about how things are made. You will be designing and making a solution to a problem through designing, modelling and practical sessions utilising the subject knowledge that runs alongside it.

What you need to get on

BTEC Fashion at Level 2 Pass or above. GCSE Design & Technology Grade 5 and above (or other creative subjects, e.g. Art). If students have not studied GCSE Textiles, then they will need to demonstrate an understanding of how to use a sewing machine.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
