A Level Business explores how business works, how to start your own business, and common problems and solutions that arise in the world of enterprise. You will learn how to analyse and evaluate the performance of a business in order to make recommendations, both short and long-term, as well as understanding how and why business decisions are made using quantitative and qualitative tools. This course will assist you in considering the issues and problems arising in businesses, from a variety of different perspectives, including the challenges involved in starting a business, how firms organise the production of goods and services, how businesses engage in financial planning and decision-making and the ways in which firms market their products, influence sales and compete effectively.

Grade 5 or above at GCSE or in English and Maths and 8 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including English and Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
