GCE A Level in Biology
at Highbury Fields School, London · school or sixth form
What the college says
Biology provides students with a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles that govern life on earth. By building on key concepts acquired at GCSE, students develop a sophisticated understanding of advanced topics and challenge misconceptions. Our students will conduct research to construct their own ideas and arguments, enabling them to engage in productive scientific dialogue and contribute to ongoing discussions about controversial issues in biology and other scientific fields, such as climate change. Practical skills are emphasised at HFS, including experimental design, data analysis, and scientific report writing, with students conducting more complex experiments.
