What the college says
This course is for students who want to continue studying biology after GCSE. You'll already be familiar with some of the topics, but the A level will give you the chance to study these and some new ones, in much greater depth. You might be choosing biology because you're headed for a scientific career, though it will give you a set of skills that can be used in a wide range of non-scientific careers too.
What you need to get on
6 in maths and 6 in English, and 6 in biology / 66 in combined science. Average GCSE point score 5.5 or higher
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
