The A-level Biology course aims to develop essential knowledge and understanding of biological concepts, an understanding of scientific methods and increase awareness of advances in technology relevant to Biology. The course strives to recognise the value and responsible use of Biology in society and to address moral and ethical issues as well as the wider environmental concerns. There are four units in Year 12 and a further four units for Year 13. Practical work is an integral part of the course. Assessment includes a Practical Endorsement / Competency Report.
