Whilst studying this subject you will learn about disease, ecosystems and the variety of living organisms from bacteria to mammoths. There will be opportunity for field-work outside of school and possible residential visits.

What you need to get on

Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics and either a Grade 6 in GCSE Biology or 6-6 in Dual Award Science, with a 6 in the Biology Components.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
