A Level Biology is both a challenging and rewarding subject to study; it will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills needed for future success in a wide variety of settings. Biology is a popular course taken by students with a wide range of interests and aspirations, including those who wish to eventually pursue a career in Biological Sciences and those who simply wish to achieve a highly respected academic qualification in a subject they find enjoyable and interesting. In addition to deepening your understanding of key Biological concepts the course also offers a wealth if opportunities to develop transferable skills; including critical analysis, practical skills and evaluation of issues in Science and their impact upon society. Studying Biology enhances not only your understanding, but also your appreciation of and respect for all forms of life, ultimately leaving you better equipped to make reasoned decisions and express informed opinions on the world of Biological Sciences.
What you need to get on
You must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade - C, two of these must include GCSE Maths and English language. A good school reference, attendance and behaviour record are also required, as is a positive interview. You also need to have achieved a minimum of a Grade B in Core Science and at least a Grade B in all module examinations in Y11 Additional Science or Further Additional Science (Triple Sciences).

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
