Biology A-level will give you the skills to make connections and associations with all living things around you. Biology literally means the study of life and if that’s not important, what is? We work in small classes learning through theoretical learning and practical experimentation. This is followed up with regular assessment to help prepare for your exams at the end of year 13. We encourage research around the subject and encourage deep thought about the relationships between quantities.

What you need to get on

GCSE Biology 6 and GCSE Maths 6 (preferred) or GCSE Combined 6-6 and GCSE Maths 6 Studying A-Level Biology requires strong analytical, evaluative and mathematical skills. On top of this you need to be confident working practically and have a good understanding of scientific method to be able to investigate how living things behave and work.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
