On the Fine Art course, you will be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of 2D and 3D media, techniques and processes. You will explore both traditional and contemporary ways of working. You will investigate and research the work of a range of artists. You will enhance your appreciation of the visual world and develop your creativity, imagination, analytical, experimental and recording skills. There is a strong emphasis on the development of ideas towards personal outcomes that show a strong visual and conceptual understanding.

What you need to get on

6 GCSE/BTEC passes at Level 4 or above. It is desirable to achieve a Level 5 or above in this subject at GCSE (or a related subject).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
