What the college says
A level photography at Sackville introduces students to the creative potential of the SLR camera. Through intensive practical workshops in year 12, students learn confident control of their cameras. Knowledge of composition, shutter speed, depth of field, camera angle, lighting and location allows each student to move their work in a creative direction.
What you need to get on
Preferably a grade 4 or above in GCSE art, textiles or a design and technology subject. A willingness to work independently in your free time and carry out individual research related to your chosen projects.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
