A Level Ancient History is ideal for people fascinated by the classical worlds of Greece and Rome and who are interested in Ancient History’s implication on the modern world. A Level Ancient History will allow you to study interpretations, artefacts, and the differing developments of each period. It will include traditional historical enquiry and a close interrogation of the ancient sources. The course will also cover Material History, Philosophy, Military Developments, and a study of Religion and Culture.
What you need to get on
3 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 4 and 2 at Grade 5, which must include English Language or Literature and Maths at Grade 4.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
