What the college says
This course will allow you to develop your interest in and appreciation of English literature through learning how to analyse and respond to prose, poetry, drama and critical texts. The texts come from both older and contemporary literature. You will develop your ability to respond to texts using a wide vocabulary of literary terms; you are encouraged to explore the works of authors who interest you.
What you need to get on
A minimum of a 6 at GCSE.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
