You will learn to specialise in Games and Animation including the opportunity to develop transferable skills related to study and vocational application that provide a platform for success both within Art and Design and elsewhere. Topics include: Digital Games Production, Animation for Digital Media, Digital Games Testing, Digital Moving Image Production, Deconstructing Media Products.
What you need to get on
3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including,English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. In addition, a portfolio or show-reelcontaining recent examples of artwork, sketchbooks, photography work, or any creative work you have done. This could be both course work and work you have created in your own time.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
